Four Days of Action – Salish Sea – September 20-23, 2014

SAVE THE DATES: PROTECT THE SACREDNESS OF THE SALISH SEA – FOUR DAYS OF ACTION – SEPTEMBER 20-23, 2014

The Coast Salish Nations have drafted the International Treaty to Protect the Sacredness of the Salish Sea. The International Treaty will enable Coast Salish Nations and their allies, the Nawt-sa-maat Alliance, to speak with one voice regarding tankers, ports, and pipelines.

To commemorate the treaty signing, the Nawt-sa-maat Alliance is calling communities to participate in Four Days of Action to mobilize cross-cultural and international action and heighten awareness of the increased risks and threats to the Salish Sea from the proposed Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion in British Columbia.

To inaugurate a commitment to action, there will be a Gathering to Protect the Sacredness of the Salish Sea with a salmon bake, festivities and launching ceremony of the Nawt-sa-maat Alliance.
September 7, 2:00-7:00pm at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Seattle
