A NEW CONTAINER SHIP TERMINAL, LESS THAN 1 MILE FROM WASHINGTON STATE?
We are saying “NO!” for the orca!
The proposed Port of Vancouver Roberts Bank Terminal 2 (RBT2), if approved, would wreck the hard work we in Washington are doing to protect and recover our endangered Southern Residents.
• Container ship traffic through the Salish Sea would increase by up to 520 transits per year – increasing vessel noise, oil spill risks, and ship strikes.
• Critical habitat would be lost – for migratory birds, orca and their prey, Chinook salmon.
HOW CAN WE STOP THIS GIANT?

• Personal letters are most effective. Click here: https://sanjuans.org/rbt2-action-alert/ to get more info on this project and how to contact Governor Inslee and Canadian decision-makers (the Canadian Federal Review Panel has already reported that this project would have significant adverse and cumulative effects on orca and salmon).
Thank you, Safe Shippers, for using your Orca Voices!
